Daniel R. Billington II is an ACTAR-accredited collision reconstructionist (ACTAR #1913) and forensic visibility analyst with more than two decades of investigative experience. A former deputy sheriff with over 18 years in law enforcement, he investigated serious injury and fatal crashes and developed specialized expertise in crash dynamics, scene documentation, and event data recorder (EDR) analysis.
He is the founder of Great Lakes Forensic Experts, where he provides scientific analysis and expert testimony in civil and criminal cases around the globe. His work includes vehicle speed analysis, time-distance modeling, human factors, perception-response, and visibility evaluations. Mr. Billington has been qualified as an expert in state and federal courts and is recognized for applying rigorous, evidence-based methodology to complex collision cases.
