Course Description
Pedestrian and bicycle crashes are often poorly investigated because officers are poorly trained. This 5-day course is designed to train police officers in specific investigative disciplines and in documenting evidence from such collisions. Specific factors related to these crashes, from an investigator's perspective, will be discussed in depth. Detailed instructions will be provided on identifying roadway markings, vehicle damage, pedestrian/cyclist injuries, and bicycle damage, and on how they apply to the reconstruction. Specific mathematical models and formulas will be demonstrated, defined, and practiced. Human factors will be discussed and reviewed in relation to the collision's causation. Ultimately, the officer will understand how to collect and interpret evidence and reach reasonable conclusions based on their reconstruction of the events.
Registration for this event is handled directly by the provider. Please visit their official site via the button below for full details and registration.
