1. What We Collect
We collect the information you give us when you register — your name, contact email, and professional organization. We also collect location data to power the "Near Me" features in the Directory and training search, so you can find colleagues and classes close to you.
2. Your Privacy Controls
You decide what's visible to others:
- Directory profile: You control the visibility of your directory card.
- Contact info: You can choose whether your contact information is public or restricted to logged-in members.
- Location: You choose whether your professional location appears on your profile.
3. Financial Data Security
Your financial security is a priority. All payments run over encrypted connections to our payment partners. ForensicCrash.net does not store, process, or transmit full credit card numbers or financial account details on our servers.
4. Communications and Marketing
When you register, you agree to receive occasional emails from ForensicCrash.net — site updates, policy changes, and promotional messages about our services or those of our partners. You can manage your communication preferences anytime from your dashboard.
5. How We Use and Share Data
- Your personal information: We do not sell your personally identifiable information — such as your name, email, or address — to anyone.
- Aggregated data: We may compile, use, and sell aggregated, non-identifying data: high-level statistics on user engagement, ad performance, and site traffic. This supports industry analysis and marketing, and it contains nothing that could be used to identify an individual user.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, and analytics tools to measure ad performance (impressions and clicks) so our advertisers can understand the reach of their campaigns.
7. Your Data and Account Deletion
You can delete your account and personal data directly from the app: open the Me page and choose Delete account. After a two-step confirmation, deletion is scheduled and you are given a one-time recovery code (also emailed to you). A 30-day grace period then applies — if you sign back in with your email and recovery code before it ends, nothing is lost. Once the grace period passes, your personal information is permanently removed. You may also request deletion at any time by emailing us at admin@forensiccrash.net. Anything that fed into our aggregated statistics simply loses its link to you — we aggregate against an internal account identifier, never against your name or profile, so once your personal data is gone there's nothing tying those numbers back to you.
8. Data Retention
When you delete your account, we remove your personal information after the 30-day grace period described above. Any residual data is retained no longer than one year in total, after which it is purged. We may keep a minimal "tombstone" — a marker that the account once existed, holding no personal information — solely to keep retired identifiers from being reused or confused with new accounts.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
